The first thing Dirk Jan sees is a big picture of Mr. Rohit on the wall in front of the Big Ben in London with somebody Dirk Jan does not know.
Probably his brother who lives in London, he thinks..

Uhhhhhhh. This dude does not know who this is. It is Mr. Big B himself. One of the greatest Bollywood actors. My advice to Dirk Jan is that if he wants to be succesful in India he needs to know some of the national icons. He can use this knowledge in informal conversations with his Indian counterparts. They will be very impressed.
We realize that some of our observations are biased due to our own cultural backgrounds. We therefore welcome your comments regarding the situations we describe on this blog.
We are part of an international team of MBA students with three different nationalities: Ukrain, French and Dutch. At the beginning of this challenging project we all had our own expectations. During the course of the project we learned to respect each others culture and learned to work in a collaborative way. The end result is this cross-cultural blog.

His son got married this week! That was a big thing! The Times of India even dedicated a special 4 page section to the wedding.
